I am having so much fun creating stuff this weekend! This is my Halloween card for the sketch challenge on SCS this week. Here's a link to the sketch: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=287180 I used the Creepy Crawly DP and the Booglie Eyes set. I used the Cuttlebug on the DP. I can't decide if I want to connect the holes and make faux stitches around the edges. I used crystal effects on the spider's eyes. I am pleased with the way this turned out!

Sleepless again

Well, Zach is back and Ruby didn't sleep at all last night, ugh! I worked on this card yesterday. It was part of a color challenge posted on Splitcoast Stampers. I had to use River Rock, Chocolate Chip and Really Rust to create a card. I really like the way this turned out. For the image I used Stem Silhouettes and I did a rock n' roll technique. I inked the image in the really rust color then I just rolled the edges of the image in the chocolate chip so it looks like two colors. I used the cuttlebug for the background and inked over the raised parts. I was going to send this card to a friend, I think I have to make another one to send to her, I like it too much to part with it. Maybe I will have more to show you later, feeling quite creative lately:)

Christmas Cards

I have been working on some Christmas cards for my upcoming Stamp-A-Stack. For those of you who don't know, I have stamping classes once a month. During the SAS people pay a fee and get to make 15-20 Christmas cards. I am trying to come up with the designs so people can see them and sign up at my upcoming class. Let me know what you think!

I think this is the first time I have used my cuttlebug. I used it to put the swirls in the background and then I used an ink pad to make them stand out. This is using the Wintergreen designer paper. I like the card but don't know if I will use it for the SAS, too much patterned paper.

This one uses the Big on Christmas set and the large wheel stamp that goes with it. I think it came out very cute!

I love the idea of this card but I think it needs something else. Maybe someone can help me decide what it needs? The outside is plain white with a scalloped circle cut out which reveals the Do Not Open Until Christmas stamp. When you open the card you will find a pocket that holds a gift card or cash.

Halloween Flip Flop Cards

It's been a busy weekend. Brae had his last obedience class yesterday. I spent some time making some new pillows for our couch. I like to make the no sew fleece pillows, very easy and very comfy. I made three pillows for the couch and turned one of the old pillows into a pillow for Ruby. Ruby likes to curl up with pillows so I covered an old pillow form with fleece for her. As you can see, she likes it. I also used some fleece to make little blankets for the dogs for their crates.

This morning we went to the dog park and did some swimming, the dogs were pooped afterwards. Then I worked on some cards. I have been wanting to make some Halloween cards and I wanted to try the flip flop card. So I did it. You can find the tutorial here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/swingcard.php

New Stamp Sets

I got my shipment of new stamps sets yesterday and I never would have expected myself to use this set first. I needed one more card for my trip this weekend and this is it! I used Stem Silhouettes and Define Your Life. Very simple, easy card to make, I am thinking I am going to make more in different colors and give them as gifts. Right now I only have the soft sky ribbon like this one. Hope you like it!

Going Away

We are packing up the kiddos and going away for the weekend. While we are gone we will be celebrating many things including some birthdays so I actually made up some cards:) The first one is a Suprise Pop-Up card. The picture shows the card in it's open position. Very fun and not too difficult to make, maybe we will have to have a class on these:)

The second card I made I used the cuttlebug to make the embossed Happy Birthday background and I used an image a friend let me borrow. He turned out okay, his collar bled into his face when I was watercoloring, oops!

Christmas in September

I had fun creating my first Christmas card of the year! I am going to be having a Stamp-A-Stack in October. Last year my SAS was a big hit, I felt like I was cutting forever! This card uses the Dashing Designer Paper, Perfect Presentation hostess set as well as Short & Sweet.

Spurts

I go through spurts throughout the year. Sometimes it is all school and sometimes it is all stamping. This weekend I left the school stuff at school and did some stamping stuff. All I really did was think, didn't really create much. I sent out an Evite for my next stamping class. I also made some clear paint cans for school. We have cans filled with both sharp and dull pencils so the kiddos don't have to sharpen during instruction. I wanted some stamped ones so here you go (even though I didn't use any stamps!)

Welcome

Welcome to my little space of the internet! I don't particularly like to write so who knows how often I will update this thing. Just wanted a little place to share my stamping creations and share pictures of my furry kiddos, Ruby & Brae.
