Ruby in clothes?

So...Brae was being his nomal food aggresive sef when Ruby and I came in from going potty on Sunday morning. He went after her. I checked out her face and ears because that is usually where he gets her. She was fine. So I didn't think anything of it until I came home later that day from Albertson's and saw some wet fur on her side. I wondered why it was there so I took a closer look to see a large tear in her skin. I guess he did get her. Frantic I called my calm as can be husband for some advice. I took his advice and cleaned her up, put neosporin on it. Since I am a worry wart I decided to take the day of on Monday and take her to the vet. We had two options, one was $63 and it would take 3 weeks to heal, the other was $400 and it would take one week to heal. We went with $63. They shaved the area so it would be easier to keep clean. Here's a picture of her wound.

The vet had said to keep Neosporin and t-shirt on it so that she couldn't lick it and so it would have a chance at staying clean. So here she is sporting some of her new shirts. Mine were too big for her so I ended up getting her some large girls t-shirts. I never liked the idea of putting clothes on a dog but hey it really works for keeping her away from her cut.

Happy Heart Day

I pre-ordered this set and this is the first thing I have done with it. I guess I did some things for the kiddos at school too, little tags. I just got done with my checkbook class, good turn out. I really love the Ginger Blossom Paper and just had to use it for my card. I also used my new Nestabilities:) How fun, love scalloped ovals. I think I might have to make a few more of these cards for friends and family.

I don't wanna!

I don't want to go to work today, I would much rather lay around sleeping like Ruby! Isn't she just hilarious, take a look at her lip. She was sleeping like this!

Have a great Monday!

Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #29

I thought I might give the Weekend Sketch Challenge a try. I have been using the Embrace Life set quite a bit and wanted a little change. I checked out the color challenge for the week and since it was Real Red I thought I would play with the crab!

This is my first card that is 4 1/4 by 4 1/4. I used the cuttlebug swirl embossing folder on the taken by teal piece. I added Crystal Effects to his eyeballs to make them look more real. I watercolored the sand and the sky. I added a little dazzling diamonds to the sand. I stamped the background with Eclectic Backgrounds and Itty Bity Backgrounds. I used Tiny Talk to stamp the "Love you" and then put a flower behind it and popped it up. Lastly, I added some faux stitching to the bottom.

Criss Cross Applesauce!

At the checkbook class we are also going to be making a criss cross card. Supplies will be provided for students to make their criss cross card unique.

Checkbook Class

For my January stamping class we are going to be making checkbook covers. Here is an example of one. We will be using the Embrace Life stamp set along with the Ginger Blossom designer paper. If you live in the Tucson area and are interested in taking this class please contact me.

New Bedding Set!

For Christmas, my parents bought me a new bedding set. This is actually the third one. The first one my mom ordered was the wrong colors. The second one was very poor quality, we then found this one which was very far from what I was originally looking for, but I love it! We rearranged the furniture and put up some curtains. I really like my new bedroom.
